Sifu Joseph Demundo began his Martial Arts training at the age of 17. He began studying the Arts as Isshin Ryu Karate and Tai Kwon Do. In 1990, he began studying under Sifu Yee and throughout this time trained diligently. He has shown his dedication, support and love for Yee’s Hung Ga that it has earned him the knowledge far greater than previous experiences. This is due to the dedication and time put into the Hung Ga system.
Joseph Demundo is one of the few close Disciples under Sifu Yee. Acknowledged as a serious student and accepted into the immediate Kung Fu family given access to a wealth of knowledge that will last a lifetime. Joseph Demundo holds the current rank of 6th Dan.

Over 19 years Sifu Joseph Demundo has operated as Chief Branch Instructor of Yee’s Hung Ga Kung Fu Academy’s Headquarter Branch, in New York City’s Chinatown. He continues to teach the tradition of Hung Ga to the next generation of Martial Artist. He continues participating in Tournaments but in the capacity of promoting and coaching students. “I’m proud to see the Gold and other medals come home from hard working students”.

Sifu Joseph Demundo prefers specializing in open hand fighting, street self-defense, Pole, Butterfly fighting technique, and the development of the internal power. He also believes in dedication and promoting Kung Fu to the next generation, and to help keep the Martial Arts alive and the Hung Ga strong.
